£260 million dealer group looks to grow through XPart All-Makes parts
One of Scotland’s largest and most successful aftermarket businesses, Park’s Motor Group, is set for further expansion through the addition of XPart’s All-Makes programme. The group currently operates 14 sites across Scotland covering new and used car sales, petrol forecourts, body repair centres as well as one of the largest parts wholesaling operations in the country. The new All-Makes business which will be run from the company’s East Kilbride site will strengthen Park’s Motor Group’s parts portfolio and establish a factoring operation which provides its garage customers with replacement parts for most vehicle brands.
“The extension of our parts business into All-Makes and MG Rover will provide significant benefits for our aftermarket customers throughout central Scotland,” comments John Henderson, group parts manager, Park’s Motor Group. “Independent garages, franchise dealerships and bodyshops who already take advantage of our OEM parts service can now contact us for all of their other parts requirements irrespective of the vehicle brand and local customers benefit from parts deliveries within the hour”
Park’s Motor Group was established in 1977 and has grown to become one of Scotland’s most important groups, employing more than 1,100 people with a turnover in excess of £260 million. It has run an OEM parts service for the last 16 years and decided to introduce XPart’s All-Makes programme so that it could strengthen its portfolio and increase the range of services that it offered its growing customer base.
The XPart programme contains more than 33,000 parts for All-Makes of vehicle across all major product groups and uses reputable brands to ensure high-quality and ease of fitment. As well as a comprehensive product offering, the programme offers customers diagnostic tools and marketing support which includes an electronic catalogue, online ordering and technical assistance.
“The addition of the All-Makes programme to Park’s Motor Group is not only great news for aftermarket businesses across Scotland, but it is also for XPart,” says Craig Cooper, general manager, XPart. “Having such an established and forward looking group adopt the programme reinforces our belief that if businesses adopt it with the correct approach, enthusiasm and commitment it can deliver substantial growth for them.”
Park’s Motor Group has already taken delivery of its initial stock and has already commenced deliveries to a number of customers. Other garages and bodyshops keen to take advantage of the service can contact Park’s Motor Group on 0845 130 6514.
