Tempest Ford joins XPart’s All-Makes parts service
Expanded parts service generates new income stream
Tempest Ford has become the latest dealer group to sign up to XPart’s All-Makes scheme. The programme gives Tempest access to a comprehensive range of more than 33,000 products, enabling it to set up a factoring operation with local independent garages and expand its service business into profitable new areas.
“As a former MG Rover dealer, the business has experienced massive changes over the last 18 months,” says Phil Bagg, parts manager, Tempest Ford. “When evaluating and planning our business strategy we wanted to ensure that we had a number of profitable income streams in place which could be sustained for the long-term. The XPart All-Makes scheme matched all of our selection criteria and we are expecting it to make a significant impact on the business.”
XPart has selected a portfolio of leading brands to be included within its All-Makes programme, ensuring that customers have access to quality products which are technically excellent and fitted with ease. The market leading position of the brands also ensures excellent coverage of the vehicle parc. Some of the brands included in the portfolio are TRW (brakes), Lucas (rotating electrics), Crosland (filters), Bosal (exhausts) and Dayco (belts). These are supported by similar market leading brands for clutch, steering and suspension, transmissions, wiper blades, batteries, shock absorbers, oils and workshop consumables.
In addition to the extensive product line up offered under the scheme, Tempest Ford will be supported with a comprehensive marketing support programme which includes an innovative e-marketing portal. The portal provides Tempest with the tools needed to run an efficient operation and includes an electronic catalogue, on-line ordering, warranty process facility, bespoke customer accounts section and technical helpdesk.
“We are delighted to add Tempest Ford to our growing list of All-Makes distributors,” says Ed Pedder, XPart All-Makes development manager. “With its existing OEM parts supply business, Tempest has many of the key elements required for a successful operation already in place such as stores and delivery vans. By giving them access to a first class product range and supporting them through our marketing programmes, I am confident that we will be able to help make a significant positive impact on their bottom line during 2007.”
Other dealer groups looking to take advantage of this revenue generation opportunity should contact Ed Pedder on 01455 821674 or 07788 424237.
