Charity golf day raises more than £3,500 for BEN
XPart confirms five-year sponsorship of key industry fundraising event
XPart helped raise more than £3,500 for automotive charity BEN, through a charity golf day held at Coventry Golf Club on 5th September. The event saw thirty-two players compete for the XPart Illiffe Cup, the Charity’s longest running golf competition, which celebrated its 75th anniversary this year.
“We greatly appreciate all of the valuable hard work carried out by BEN on behalf of the motor industry,” says Craig Cooper, general manager, XPart. “To show our ongoing support we have agreed to sponsor this event for a further five years. During this time we hope we can grow participation in the event so that it becomes the one of the most important social dates in the UK motor industry calendar. With this growth we are confident that we can help BEN raise a significant amount of additional funds for the worthy causes it supports.”
Taking part in the competition were teams from XPart, CAP,Ricardo and Melville. Winner of the overall event was Ricardo’s managing director Bob Allsopp, who was presented with the magnificent silver trophy by Craig Cooper. There were also individual prizes for the nearest-the-pin, longest drive, putting, lowest stableford score, team stableford winners and runners up.
