Range additions for XPart All-Makes programme
Expanded range now contains more than 33,000 parts including many new vehicle applications
XPart has added more than 1,000 new products to its All-Makes range, reaffirming its reputation as one of the most up-to-date and comprehensive offerings in the aftermarket. The latest additions increase the portfolio to more than 33,000 parts covering all major vehicle manufacturers.
“Following changes to the block exemption legislation, we are seeing some cars being serviced in the independent sector just six months after their initial registration,” says Ed Pedder, franchise manager for XPart. “Therefore it is important that we constantly review and update our product range so that our customers have access to the parts for these vehicles. The expansion of our All-Makes range demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with access to the latest and best products on the market.”
Products have been added across the entire XPart All-Makes range which covers service items such as brakes, rotating electrics, filters and exhausts as well as replacement components and accessories. All are high quality parts from reputable brands such as TRW (brakes), Lucas (rotating electrics), Crosland (filters), Bosal (exhausts) and Dayco (belts). Recent additions to the range now cover new vehicles and variants such as the new Peugeot 207, Ford Focus and BMW 3 series.
Since its introduction in 2005, XPart’s All-Makes programme has been adopted by many franchise dealer groups including Essex Ford Group, Richardson Ford, Stevens Vauxhall, Parks Motor Group Scotland, John Grose Ipswich and the Marshall Motor Group Peterborough. These and other ambitious companies use the programme to expand their parts business and provide a parts distribution service to local independent garages. As the franchise dealer groups already have the infrastructure in place for this type of business through their OEM parts delivery service, investment in the scheme is minimal yet the returns can make a significant contribution to profits.
XPart is a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Logistics Services UK Limited, one of the automotive industry’s leading supply chain management companies. It has established a network of more than 220 XPart AutoService centres across the UK, providing franchise-quality repair at aftermarket rates. Its product range contains more than 33,000 parts for all makes of vehicle and since 2001, it has been responsible for the supply of genuine MG Rover parts.
